Paula is a registered clinical counsellor actively practicing in British Columbia, Canada (BCACC). She holds an undergrad specializing in Child, Youth and Family Counselling and Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Paula sees people in person, telephone, or by Skype/Zoom. She is currently taking a limited number of new clients in order to provide them with the highest level of counselling, coaching, healing and transformation. Paula works with individuals, teenagers, and groups. Some areas of healing and wellness Paula offers and specializes in are:

What Is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?

CBT is a traditional form of psycho-social intervention or talk therapy where we challenge and change unhelpful inner dialogues, address subconscious limiting beliefs, improve emotional regulation, and develop personal coping strategies to more effectively deal with life’s ups and downs.

What Is EMDR?

EMDR is a form of psychotherapy which uses bilateral sensory input to reprogram neural pathways in the brain and reduce the distress felt from traumatic memories. We use a combination of guided eye movement and tapping to address past traumas and create new responses/means of coping/processing/healing.

What is Somatic Experiencing?

Some clients experience somatic sensations (actual physical feelings and movements) when they are remembering a traumatic past event. SE is a form of alternative therapy that aims to relieve these somatic symptoms by focusing on how they are manifesting in the client’s body.

What is Integratative Body Psychotherapy?

IBP is a form of psychotherapy where we approach the client from a holistic perspective. During this form of therapy, we view the psychological, emotional, spiritual, and physiological aspects of a person’s experience and consider them all important pieces to healing and wholeness.

What is Past Life Regression (PLR)?

PLR is a gentle form of hypnosis that is used to heal and transform entrenched emotional issues, patterns, sabotaging thoughts, and behaviours. It can heal physical pain and ailments and unlock gifts, life purpose and life lessons. PLR takes you back to a past life where there is something important for you to learn and potentially heal from. Most people find that if they understand a past experience and gain more insight into why things are happening, they can clear emotional and physical issues in the present.

Paula has received high level of training and mentoring in counselling modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), SE (Somatic Experiencing), IBP (Integrative Body Psychotherapy), Solution-Focused counselling and psychodynamic therapies.

Paula incorporates her 25 years of teaching, knowledge, education, and personal and professional development to help people overcome adversity, build self-esteem and confidence, teach building block to heal your life, get “unstuck”, and learn to create the life you want to live.

Paula offers coaching worldwide via skype or in-person.
